Derek McCrea paints in a whimsical impressionistic style. He has recently completed a series of barns, lighthouses, flower and plein air landscapes in watercolor, oil and acrylic. He also has galleries devoted to his pen and ink renderings. His newest endeavors have been New England slate and mailbox paintings. He has completed art on very old six pane windows with weathered frames; a series of 6 lighthouses. Derek framed all of his paintings found in the Framed Gallery with cherry, cyprus and pine wood.
